The Problem

Car enthusiasts often seek to personalize their vehicles with modifications like tailgates, wheels, and lights. However, different cars require different parts, and finding the right modifications can be a confusing and time-consuming process.

01 — We Can Help

Four ways CarSpy removes the guesswork.

Real user reviews, ratings, and installation case studies.

Access all vehicle modification parts across brands and models.

Visualize parts integration on your car by interactive 3D modeling before purchase.

Installation video guide or professional auto bodyshop coordination.

02 — Feature

Five key features, one seamless experience.

CarSpy's five key features provide users with a highly customizable and seamless experience from the moment they select an item to the moment they purchase it.

Part Selection Made Simple

PROBLEM

Car owners often don't know which parts fit their specific model due to the wide variety of trims and specs.

SOLUTION

Select your exact car model to instantly see all compatible mods — like spoilers, wheels, and lights — tailored to your vehicle.

3D Preview for Easy Modification

PAINPOINT

Modding often involves guesswork — not just in appearance, but in performance. Users rarely know how a part will truly affect their car until after installation.

SOLUTION

Preview your exact car in 3D, test different mods visually, and see how each part changes the car's look and performance. From styling to speed, get a full picture before you buy.

Community for Car Enthusiasts

PAINPOINT

Car owners often lack a trusted place to see real mod results or connect with others who've done similar upgrades.

SOLUTION

A space for car lovers to share their builds, post mod photos, and tag the parts they used — so others can get inspired and learn from real examples.

Ratings and Reviews

PAINPOINT

It's hard to tell if a mod is actually good just by looking at photos or product descriptions.

SOLUTION

Every product on CarSpy comes with detailed ratings based on real user feedback — covering quality, fitment, looks, and more. A total score helps users quickly judge if a part is worth it.

Installation Support

PAINPOINT

Many car owners don't know how to install parts themselves or where to find a trusted shop to do it.

SOLUTION

Need help with installation? Watch step-by-step video guides or let us connect you with a top-rated local body shop — just book and bring your car in.

03 — User Flow & Journey Map

Four processes, one shopping experience.

From selecting the right product to providing installation assistance after the sale, according to the user's needs, I created 4 main processes that enhance the user's shopping experience.

04 — User Research

Interview findings

In order to know how to create a different kind of car modification parts website, I did user research to help me create the car website.

WANTS
Be able to purchase different mods on the website
Be able to see the effect or model of the modification before installing the mods
NEEDS
Need to purchase the mods
Need after-sale service help
Need a preview of after installation
PAINPOINTS
Don't know how to install
Fear of buying unfit modifications
Fear the mods don't match expectations
DESIGN DIRECTIONS
01

While the website provides a convenient purchase process, it also needs to let users know how the physical installation will look.

02

Create a My Car interface that is specifically designed to help users customize their car.

03

Provide a community interface that contains feedback and reviews from other users, as well as various videos of the installation process.

05 — Market Research

Competitors & positioning

To better find our market position and the analysis of other competing brands, I did this market research to help better position our website and our audience.
